This year the selected student participants along with DUILA’s (Drug Use Is Life Abuse) representatives, including Orange County Sheriff deputiesĀ attended the National Leadership Forum which is hosted by CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America).

From February 9, 2009 through February 12, 2009, students chosen from various high schools in Orange county attended various seminars with other students from around the nation who have also made a commitment to make their community safe, health and drug-free. These seminars teach the students about leadership in the community. They advocate the need for a drug-free life style. Students got a chance to visit many important and historial locations in Washington D.C. while attending this conference. Applications along with student essays and students participation under the DUILA program were evaluated for their acceptance on the tour.
